What electrical services do you offer?
Hang Loose Electrical provides residential, commercial, property manager and strata electrical services, plus air conditioning, EV chargers, sheds, caravans and marine, across Moreton Bay and Greater Brisbane, plus emergency call-outs (Michael answers our after-hours and emergency line 24/7). Commercial work includes fit-outs, maintenance, test and tag, and emergency lighting.
Do you do marine electrical work?
Yes. Most boat work is best done at our Clontarf workshop. We can come to your marina, berth or home for larger jobs, but surcharges apply compared with getting the work done at our workshop, and for callouts to wherever the boat is located. For marine breakdowns and after hours, Michael answers our 24/7 line (24/7 surcharges apply). We handle boat rewires, trolling motors, sounders, LED lighting, and battery and fuse distribution.
What areas do you cover?
We cover the Redcliffe Peninsula, North Lakes, Strathpine, Caboolture, Chermside, Brisbane, Ipswich and Logan, and the wider Moreton Bay area. See our service areas. Our team is based in Clontarf and attends your home or business for general electrical work, while most marine work is done at our Clontarf workshop. Not sure if you're in our patch? Just ask.
Do you offer emergency electrical services?
Yes. For urgent faults, power outages and electrical hazards during business hours (Mon to Fri 6:30am to 6pm, Sat 7am to 1pm), call our main line. Outside those hours, call Michael on our 24/7 after-hours and emergency line. Both numbers are at the top of every page. After-hours surcharges apply. If anyone is in danger, call 000 first.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are licensed and insured: we hold Queensland Electrical Contractor Licence 91200 and carry $20 million public liability insurance. All work is completed to Australian Standards (AS/NZS 3000).
Do you offer a warranty?
Yes. Our workmanship is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, manufacturer warranties apply to the products we supply, and your rights under Australian Consumer Law always apply. We confirm the guarantee terms for your job in your quote.
Can you work on caravans and campers?
Yes, we do caravan and camper electrical work. Call us to discuss your setup and we will confirm what we can do and where the work will be carried out.
Who will do the work?
Our team includes 9 electricians and apprentices, supported by management and office staff. Owner Brad leads the business, and Michael manages construction and operations.
Can you wire sheds and outdoor buildings?
Yes. We wire sheds, garages and workshops, including lighting, power points, sub-boards and underground supply, all to Australian Standards.
