How much does a switchboard upgrade cost?
Every board is quoted in writing after a site check, because the price depends on the number of circuits, the meter panel and the condition of the old board. See our switchboard cost guide.
How do I know if I need an upgrade?
Signs include ceramic rewireable fuses, no safety switches, breakers that trip often, scorch marks or a burning smell, and plans to add air conditioning, an EV charger or solar.
Will the power be off during the upgrade?
Yes, for part of the job while the board is changed over. We tell you how long when we quote, so you can plan around it.
Do I need an upgrade before air con, an EV charger or solar?
